We’ve had so many cute entries this month celebrating occasions including weddings, retirements, birthdays and new babies… and even a prom. You’ll see lots of fabulous foxes, magical unicorns, marvelous memory bears, and more! Read down to the end of the post to find out who won this month’s maker’s prize.🏆

We start with a WEDDING!

This pretty couple of Cheeky Chook / Chickens was sewn by Sarah Rackham. I’m sure this couple was thrilled with their super-custom wedding decor.

And a prom!

Mandy-Anne Roberts sewed these 2 shiny blue Fifi Foxes from a prom dress. That shiny material may have been a challenge to turn into foxes, but Mandy-Anne did a great job.

 

 

This flowery Fox! This sweet Fifi Fox was ALSO sewn by Mandy-Anne Roberts. This floral fabric lends Fifi a magical air.

 

This really was a BIG month for Fifi Fox!

Fifi Fox makes a terrific teacher’s gift…. as you can see with these 6 foxes sewn by Maggie Weindorfer, from school uniforms. What a thoughtful gift for the teachers leaving the school.

This Prince Charming Frog was sewn sewn by Terry Davis. She added some sparkles on the crown and a few decorative buttons, as well.

 

 

AND Cathy Lee sewed a WHOLE FAMILY of Prince Charming Frogs. I guess her family really loves frogs!

Lots of people ask for comparisons of Patch the Pussy Cat and Socks the Sitting Cat. Here are two photos for you. These 2 delightful memory toy cats were sewn by Susan Lipke. On the left is Patch Pussy Cat and on the right is Socks the SITTING Cat.

These two bright and cheery Best Wishes BABY BIRDs were sewn by Paula Blevins, who donated them to little ones at her local hospital when she had to have an op herself! How sweet is that!

 

This Best Wishes BABY BIRDs was sewn by Sherry Eggert-Bristol. Sherry took advantage of the no-seam tummy piece on this toy to feature a Noah’s Ark design.

This cute Kylie Kookaburra was sewn by Alexis Robinson and looks like it was an instant hit! The fabric comes from upcycled baby slings.

This delightful daisy-covered  Harmony Highland Cow sewn by Jackie-Wooding. She added a metal cow bell to the toy, too.

 

This  Harmony Highland Cow sewn by Mary Shaw, and she went with a sunflower theme. This Harmony is made in faux fur, while the one above is sewn from cotton. Both looks are super cute with their cow bell necklaces.

This pretty Petunia Pig was sewn by Terry Davis. She created an excellent curl in the tail and managed to put Tinkerbell on the face. What more could a kid want in a custom toy?

This very sweet looking Rascal Raccoon was sewn by Angélicka Romo. I love the big gold eyes she used for him in combination with the silver sheen on the minky fabric.

This sweet keepsake Maximus Mouse was sewn by Ann Balthasar, for a dad who calls his daughter ‘Mouse’. You can see that Ann took great care in preserving so many little elements of the baby clothes in the final keepsake.

 

These sweet keepsake Maximus Mice were sewn by Nancy-M-Ciccosanti. Whether in primary colors or pastels, Maximus hits the maximum level of cuteness here, especially holding those flowers.

Aristotle Axolotl sewn by Kate France. What a sweet face! Looks like Kate may have used shiny dance fabric for this toy.

 

And this Aristotle Axolotl was sewn by Christine Storrs for her grandson. He is dressed to match the toy, so it must be a hit.

This amazing Winsome Wolf sewn by Jenn Bilodeau out of an embroidered top. Winsome has extra large front and back pieces, so it’s a great pattern choice if you need a pattern to accommodate large designs,

This pink minky Fleur Flamingo was sewn by Jonell Hart. I see a flamingo peeking out on the wing fabric! This toy has embroidered fabric eyes that make it baby-safe. (See the TIP BOX below the photo for a link to blog post with more toy safety tips.)

Gregory Gorilla looks pretty in pink as sewn by Laura Baillie. He’s made from tweed, so he doesn’t need to worry about catching a chill.

 

This Gregory Gorilla was sewn by Kirsty-Louise Barnett, also in pink. I don’t thnk we’ve ever seen two pink gorillas posted in the same month,

This lovely Larry Lion sewn by Jessica Jolly. The lion’s new owner looks happy with her gift (and Larry even matches her Lion King onesie).

This smiley Sammy Shark was sewn by Linda Rock. I don’t know the age of the recipient, but this pattern is particularly popular with toddlers, who like to take him on pretend marine adventure.

This Melody Memory Bear was sewn by Denise Williams, and it was her first Memlody Bear. Great job! I’m sure the gift recipient will love it.

Kristy Cockburn sewed this Calico Signature Bear for a wedding to match the wedding theme. Calico has a floral headpiece that might rival the bridesmaids!

 

This  Calico Signature Memory Bear sewn by Jackie Wooding from t-shirts upcycled from her gym. You can see the carefully placement of the logos on ear, chest, and paws.

This cute  Keep Me Keepsake Bear pattern was sewn by Lori Lee. This pattern has multiple areas to feature special fabrics, including a special “no-seam” tummy panel.

 

 

This collection of cute  Keep Me Keepsake Bears was sewn by Lacey Chapek. The tan and brown bears are all made from the same fabric, but with different pattern piece placements. Moving the colors around definitely changes the look of the bear.

These pretty purple and pink Kelsey Keepsake Unicorns  were sewn by Anneke Rothner. She used faux flowers around the horns rather than the felt flower templates included in the pattern.

 

 

And Anneke Rothner ALSO sewed these gorgeous gothic Kelsey Keepsake Unicorns. It’s not the first black unicorn we’ve seen here on the blog, or even the third or fourth!

 

 

And this flowery Kelsey Keepsake Unicorn was sewn by Annessa Bock. Annessa used figural buttons on the felt flowers for a little extra bling.

If you’d like a keepsake animal that’s more earth-bound than a unicorn, consider Kip the Keepsake Dog. Linda Grace Bradley sewed this Keepsake Dog using a man’s shirt as the mane fabric.

 

 

And Sue Rushby sewed this cute girly Kip the Keepsake Dog for her granddaughter. The pattern has a large “no seam” tummy panel perfect or use with embroidery machines.
