If you use interfacing to line fabrics that are thin and very stretchy you can use any type of fabric to sew your keepsake, in fact, mixing and matching different types of fabrics  makes the memory toy look awesome! Use a thin fabric, like the knit from baby clothing, for the MANE and TAIL and do NOT interface these pieces.

  • Main Fabric - 38cm x 110cm wide / 15 x 43inches wide.
  • Contrast Fabric - 33cm x 55cm wide / 13 x 21½inches wide.
  • 4 buttons (for arms & leg joints) - about 2½ cm/1 inch.
  • Strong thread for button-jointing.
  • Craft Eyes (or buttons from garments) - about 12mm/ ½inch.
  • Ribbon for tutu - 90cm / 37inches
  • Tulle(netting) for tutu - 45cm x 240cm / 18 x 95inches wide.

Recently my sewing machine decided to no longer work, so I sewed this pattern 100% by hand, it wasn't very difficult just time consuming but still came out beautiful (Posted on 1/20/2022)
Darling Unicorn Review by Jill
I made this for my granddaughter's 6 year old golden birthday. She loves yellow and gold, and it turned out so cute. She really loves it. (Posted on 1/20/2022)
