Mar 27, 2023 | Blog, Competitions & Giveaways

This month’s edition of the Maker of the Month finalists includes all sorts of sweet home sewn toys from llamas to sloth toys, an owl softie and some cat toys too! Read down to the end of the post to find out who won!

Let’s take a look…

Rae Pajkos Waters sewed this hearts and rainbows Lloyd Llama – what a funky, happy softie!!!

Anne Line Wathne sewed this adorable Slowpoke Sloth in Cuddle fabrics. Isn’t her sloth toy too adorable for words?
.

This FUN, floral Heather Hippo was sewn by Diana Sageser. If you look closely at her ears you’ll see the sweet heart fabric Diana added for the highlights.

An owl and a pussy cat next!

This sweet Kitty Kate Cat was sewn by Carrie Anciaux as a keepsake for her niece.

This sweet Kitty Kate Cat was ALSO sewn by Carrie Anciaux as a keepsake for her niece.

I love the combination of fabric textures and prints – fun florals look great with rainbow stripes and dimple Cuddle! This pretty awesome Patch Pussy Cat was sewn by Lindsey Mortimer

We had some super cute memory bears this month!

This delightful baby-faced Calico Signature Bear was sewn by Jaqueline Elliot. I love the cute forest themed fabric she used for her teddy bear!

She loved her 1st  Calico Signature Bear so much she went on to sew another in Bambi fabric!

And one more… or is that TWO?

These adorable “Baby’s 1st Christmas memory bears” were sewn by Bernadette Walsh using the Keep Me Keepsake Bear Pattern …. “all you’d want for Christmas is 2 teddy bears”!

Click HERE to purchase the Keepsake Bear pattern.

This happy keepsake Buttons the BEST DRESSED Bear was sewn by Stephanie Wells her daughter who used to tease her about wearing this Nike shirt till it was “worn down to threads”. Her bear doesn’t look very thread bare to me – it looks pretty smart to me!

And this  gorgeous keepsake version of Buttons the BEST DRESSED Bear was sewn by Lois Rankin.

We had lots of AWESOME Unicorn keepsakes this month!

Look at these 2 gorgeous  Kelsy Keepsake Unicorns sewn by Teri Wolff – they are so perfect they ALMOST look like a reflection!

Who knew Kelsey would look
so cute even without her tutu?

This pretty baby keepsake Kelsy Keepsake Unicorn was sewn by Odette of Oddity’s Tiny Shiny Craft Shed, in New Zealand – isn’t she sweet ~ the keepsake unicorn, I mean… and Odette too?!

Nicole Schivas said she loved sewing this sweet keepsake Kelsy Keepsake Unicorn and felt the photo tutorial helped a lot with the button jointing.

And this flowery Kelsy Keepsake Unicorn was sewn by Dawn Wylie. Look how she’s picked up the colours in the fabric for the felt flowers – soooooo cute! 🌸

Robin Mundell sewed this very special memory bear for her significant other’s grandchild. I’m sure that such a sweet teddy bear will bring a lot of comfort in sad times. Robin said she found the BEGINNER teddy bear pattern d-easy to construct because the directions are so detailed – which is a good thing as she had 3 memory bears to make!
