It’s time to VOTE for the next Funky Friends Factory toy pattern!

Jan 4, 2023 | Blog, FFF News

I have tallied up ALL of your suggestions and the 2 most popular requests have tied for 1st place – so I’ve decided to let the Funky Friends fans have a vote on which toy I will design a pattern for next!

This vote is a

TIE BREAKER between

the agile AXOLOTL

and the toothy TIGER!

Do you know what an Axolotl is?

I thought I had some idea… a pink slug with legs and fluffy feelers? Maybe NOT?
So I did a google search and it turns out that an Axolotl is a paedomorphic salamander – who knew!
AND I also learnt that an Axolotl is closely related to a TIGER salamander! 🐅 Funny coincidence, right?

How do you vote?

It’s EASY – I have made a ONE QUESTION survey for you ~>

I voted for the tiger only because I couldn’t vote for both! Axy is pretty cute.

Tough! That axolotl is actually kind of cute. But I’m voting for the tiger, because the axolotl has too many spiky things that look very difficult to turn.

When I was in junior high school (that would have been 1967 or 68), our biology club ordered tiny axolotls to sell as a fund raiser (the local teacher had one in his classroom). They were so much fun to raise! I hope the axolotl wins.

I definitely need a tiger pattern. A lot of schools and colleges near me have the tiger as the mascot!

A few years ago, my grandson requested I make an axolotl for him for Christmas. All I could find was crochet patterns and I didn’t care to crochet one for him. Then I found a pattern to make one out of felt, but it was small. So I enlarged the pattern and it turned out perfectly. He’s 15 now and still loves it. I can’t wait to make one from a FFF pattern.

If you get the total votes for the Axolotl, will you please include his 4 legs, body and tail.. He is so cute. Not just his head. It would be so neat to cuddle with the WHOLE AXOLOTI. Thank you..

I actually own axolotls, Currently 2 adults (approx 4 yrs old), 2 of their babies who are approx 2 years old and currently 8 babies who are about 1 -2 cms in length and 8-12 weeks old. They are so much fun to watch. Their legs will regenerate if others attack them (this happens often when they are babies )

Please, please, please, could you design a boxer dog? I’ve been waiting for years for one. I have over 40 of your patterns, but wish I could say one was a boxer! THANKS!!!!
