Simplicity Pattern Company Licensed Toy Patterns – Simplicity 2921

Aug 7, 2007 | A day in my life, Blog, FFF News

I am sooooooo excited!

I was contacted by Simplicity Pattern Company in the US, a little while ago, about licensing some of my Funky Friends Factory Soft Toy Patterns. Ooooooh, this is really a  BIG opportunity for me considering my Funky Friends Factory is just getting off the ground. They asked me to submit 2 versions of three of my toy patterns. Here is my box of toys, packed and ready to go to America!

The patterns I submitted are my 3 most popular stuffed animals. First is Ellie Elephant. Ellie is made of fleece fabric with corduroy highlights in the ears.

Ellie is an easy sewing pattern and even looks great in plain grey fleece!

Next is my Lamkins Lamb stuffed animal pattern… I think my lamb pattern is my most popular baby toy pattern. Either there are lots and lots of babies being born, or people just like to sew baby stuff!

… and last but not least (hidden underneath the bubble wrap) is my Horsey Horse &  Unix the Unicorn stuffed animal pattern.

Look out the the pattern ~> it’s going to be Simplicity 2921.

WOW! Let’s hope they are a hit!!!

Can you keep fingers crossed for me?

.

Bye for now,
Pauline

    Hi there,
I thought you’d like to know that I bought a copy of your patterns under the Simplicity label for my sister, this Christmas 2010. By chance I’ve now stumbled on your little post here, but as the creator of these cuuuute little critters I thought you’d like to know they are superbly loved and my sister will definitely be making them, especially the adorable Ellie the Elephant. Thank you for your great work, it’s spreading joy far and wide indeed 🙂

Well, what a surprise! Like my fellow commenter (Kay) I too have stumbled across this page. I was googling randomly as I’m feeling super excited because today I received my first ever pattern in the mail – yours! I’m new to this sewing business and so far have only made my own creations – which when you have absolutely no clue what your doing, let me tell you, unpicking is SUCH a bleeping pain! So I’m just leaving this quick message to express to you how excited your gorgeous Ellie, Lamkins, Horsey and Unix have made me – and the instructions don’t hurt either!

    Kind regards ~ Kate (Australia)
