New Puppy Dog Softies Pattern

Jun 18, 2012 | Blog, NEW Toy Patterns

It’s time to release the newest Funky Friends Factory Toy Pattern!

Meet PUPPY DOG Pete!

PUPPY DOG PETE - simple softies sewing pattern

I have to admit to being a bit naughty – I was sooo excited about this cute little puppy dog pattern that I put out the teaser on the Funky Friends Factory Facebook Page LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before I even started putting the pattern on to the computer, but I couldn’t resist, I LOVE him to bits!!!!

This playful little puppy never tires of bounces around the place, it was hard to get him to SIT, lie DOWN and STAY for a photo session!

PUPPY DOG PETE - toy sewing pattern - lying

He’s a nice simple pattern so you can make a whole litter of puppies!!! The Puppy Dog Pete Toy Sewing Pattern is available now, from the Funky Friends Factory website as either an Instant Download pattern.

(I think this puppy would look good in PINK for a sweet girly version too.)

I hope you like him as much as I do!

Till next time,

Happy Sewing,

I do love this little dog. I am thinking “boy” as I have some new fabric that’s very little boy, and I’m also pregnant and feeling like it’s going to be a boy!

    Love it!
(as per your FB post) I think I’d probably be more likely to make a girly version, only because I have so much more girly fabric than boy fabric! Will be in the vicinity of the closest Spotlight store next week though, so am hoping to grab some suitable boyish fabric to make one! Either way I think it will be cute, if only I didn’t have so much other stuff to sew right now I would get cracking on this pattern!

I’d make a gender neutral one, probably with some rainbow fabric I have. Or bright jewel tones. Or pirates! I love bright colours, as many as possible!

I couldn’t just make a boy or girl it would have to be both. Can’t make for one grandchild and not the other and plus he’s so cute. Also would enlarge and have a mummy with her puppies xx

I’m 6 months pregnant and didn’t want to find out the baby’s sex, so I don’t know for sure… but everyone thinks I’m having a boy. So let’s go with that! Boy puppy!

As the mother of five boys, I think it’s fair to say I would be making blue boy ones! But I think I would have to make at least one girly pink one for me!!!!

Well, now that I purchased my puppy pattern which I have been hanging out for so long, I have decided my first puppy dog toy is going to be made out of polar fleece and made for my beautiful puppy dog Tilly who loves cuddling up with her toys at night. I will use some deep red polar fleece with a paw print repeated on it. She will love it! Can’t wait!

My granddaughter has put her request in for a cute girl puppy. My grandchildren love the idea of ‘one to keep and one to give’. More are given than kept ; )

I would probably make a boy version of the new doggie patten because I nearly always make boys and consequently that is the fabric I have in stock! Either that or a neutral gender toy so the person I’m giving it to can decide what they want to call it and if it is a boy or a girl ^^

I would have to make a girl version first – four actually, as I have four girls. But after that I think I’d like to make a unisex version in white with black ears (just like the puppy teddy I took to bed when I was little!!).

Hi, I would love to make one of these in girl colours for my little girl because the attern reminds me so much of my comforter that I had as a child, and still have now!
