New Puppy Dog Softies Pattern

Jun 18, 2012 | Blog, NEW Toy Patterns

It’s time to release the newest Funky Friends Factory Toy Pattern!

Meet PUPPY DOG Pete!

PUPPY DOG PETE - simple softies sewing pattern

I have to admit to being a bit naughty – I was sooo excited about this cute little puppy dog pattern that I put out the teaser on the Funky Friends Factory Facebook Page LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before I even started putting the pattern on to the computer, but I couldn’t resist, I LOVE him to bits!!!!

This playful little puppy never tires of bounces around the place, it was hard to get him to SIT, lie DOWN and STAY for a photo session!

PUPPY DOG PETE - toy sewing pattern - lying

He’s a nice simple pattern so you can make a whole litter of puppies!!! The Puppy Dog Pete Toy Sewing Pattern is available now, from the Funky Friends Factory website as either an Instant Download pattern.

(I think this puppy would look good in PINK for a sweet girly version too.)

I hope you like him as much as I do!

Pauline McArthur - Funky Friends Factory.

Till next time,

Happy Sewing,

  1. M.timperley

    He is so very cute!!!!

  2. nikki roberts

I would make so many of these in pink.:)

  3. Ruth

I do love this little dog. I am thinking “boy” as I have some new fabric that’s very little boy, and I’m also pregnant and feeling like it’s going to be a boy!

  4. Vanessa

    Love it!
(as per your FB post) I think I’d probably be more likely to make a girly version, only because I have so much more girly fabric than boy fabric! Will be in the vicinity of the closest Spotlight store next week though, so am hoping to grab some suitable boyish fabric to make one! Either way I think it will be cute, if only I didn’t have so much other stuff to sew right now I would get cracking on this pattern!

  5. Shannon Russell

    Boy puppy!

  6. Mariana

I am hoping to get to make him this weekend 🙂 girly style – my toy thief would like him!

  7. Daniela Stergou

I love the new puppy dog Pete pattern, I have 2 boys so I would go ‘BOY’!

  8. Jenn E

I am more likely to make a girl version for my 2 girls :). This pattern is so cute!

  9. Laura

    A cute boy puppy Pete 🙂 x

  10. laura

Hi I have 3 boys and a girl so will probably be making a pink girly one and 3 boy ones

  11. Malin B

I love this pattern! I think it would look cute in a girly version!

  12. Fliss

I would have to say unisex as whenever I make something for my 2 year ok daughter my 6 yr old son then wants the same thing in boy colours!!

  13. Linda curtain

Love this little puppy-would make as a boy for my grandsons.x

  14. Helen Scanlan

I love all things girly but I have a little boy so would have to say boy

  15. Catherine

I have 2 girls so that would mean girly fabric but for me I would like to see Pete as a boy. .

  16. Donna Coath

I would make both sex’s, as i have 2 little boys & my older sister is going 2 be having a little girl come this september & it would be a great gift 2 give her.

  17. Amanda

i would so have to make a girl puppy, my 2 girls wouldnt want it any other way :o)

  18. Caroline Sandford

I’d make a gender neutral one, probably with some rainbow fabric I have. Or bright jewel tones. Or pirates! I love bright colours, as many as possible!

  19. janet lawrence

I couldn’t just make a boy or girl it would have to be both. Can’t make for one grandchild and not the other and plus he’s so cute. Also would enlarge and have a mummy with her puppies xx

  20. Mando

I’m 6 months pregnant and didn’t want to find out the baby’s sex, so I don’t know for sure… but everyone thinks I’m having a boy. So let’s go with that! Boy puppy!

  21. Elizabeth Langford-Smith

So hard to choose but a think a girl one as I have 2 daughters 🙂

  22. Diane beeken

As the mother of five boys, I think it’s fair to say I would be making blue boy ones! But I think I would have to make at least one girly pink one for me!!!!

  23. M.timperley (Tilly timperm)

Well, now that I purchased my puppy pattern which I have been hanging out for so long, I have decided my first puppy dog toy is going to be made out of polar fleece and made for my beautiful puppy dog Tilly who loves cuddling up with her toys at night. I will use some deep red polar fleece with a paw print repeated on it. She will love it! Can’t wait!

  24. Anne-Marie

Would love to make a cute little girl one

  25. Dyan

With a son and two nephew’s it would have to be boy puppies!!

  26. Marie-Claire Duggan

I would make a boy version for my little boy who is due in september

  27. Elinor

My granddaughter has put her request in for a cute girl puppy. My grandchildren love the idea of ‘one to keep and one to give’. More are given than kept ; )

  28. Joanne

A pink girly one for my baby girl

  29. Katy

I would probably make a boy version of the new doggie patten because I nearly always make boys and consequently that is the fabric I have in stock! Either that or a neutral gender toy so the person I’m giving it to can decide what they want to call it and if it is a boy or a girl ^^

  30. Shelle

I would have to make a girl version first – four actually, as I have four girls. But after that I think I’d like to make a unisex version in white with black ears (just like the puppy teddy I took to bed when I was little!!).

  31. Kate Langdon

Would make the boy version as all my teddies are boys 😉

  32. Heather Forrester

I would make him a boy, I have a few friends having boys soon!

  33. Sarah Hawkins

I would make a litter…filled with these beautiful playful puppies!

  34. Allison

I’d make girl puppies since we have lots of little girls in my family right now!

  35. lee anne

I would make a.pink and green girly one for my daughters room! These are so cute!

  36. Laura

Hi, I would love to make one of these in girl colours for my little girl because the attern reminds me so much of my comforter that I had as a child, and still have now!
