Tom Turkey pattern feedback photos!

Nov 15, 2021 | Blog, NEW Toy Patterns

Gobble, Gobble, y’all!

I’m LOVING the Tester’s photos I’ve received so far… THANK YOU!!!! I LOVE that they’re ALL so cute and colourful… and completely different to mine! We’ve got pics of Tom ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas and year-round farmyard fun.

Just look at
all these lovely
feedback photos…

First up we have a bright and cheery version of Tom Turkey sewn by Debbie Weideman… loving those coordinating leafy fabrics!

Next we have this cheerful fall-inspired version of the Tom Turkey Pattern sewn by Tammy Gosselin. Tom looks so sweet as a table centerpiece, I have to say. But little did he know what  photo props were waiting for him….

Thankfully
he can’t READ!

Frankie Bateman said that she tried to make Tom Turkey in realistic colours as the little boy who is getting this turkey is very much into toys that are realistic. (No bright blue turkeys allowed by that kiddo! lol).

Vicki Wheeler says of her Tom, “that’s the Christmas turkey sorted.” I like the different fabric patterns and textures she used. Now all he needs is a Christmas hat (I have a FREE Christmas Hat Pattern HERE for all your Funky Friends!). The smallest size in the pattern would be great for Tom Turkey, or you could enlarge it a little for a floppier look.

This turkey sewn by Shirley Lohman has beautiful stained glass pattern plumage. And he’s purple (my favorite color), so of course I love that! 💜

Maria Barnes used some autumn foliage fabric for her turkey, And it makes an interesting contrast to the stripes.

This sweet Tom Turkey was sewn by Marilyn E.  who gave him embroidered eyes because he’s going to a baby – what a sweet gift for a 1st Thanksgiving or 1st Christmas!

This very cool Harry Potter Turkey was sewn by Kim Illarietti. I guess Harry Potter’s white owl has a new friend in the Hogwarts aviary 😀. The contrast color circle of brown felt behind the clear craft eye is a great way to make sure this turkey stays eagle-eyed and looking sharp!

AND one more…

This brilliant blue version of the Tom Turkey pattern sewn by Gail R. snuck in at the last minute! Doesn’t he look GORGEOUS hiding in the Geraniums?

WOW! What a FANTASTIC bunch of feathered friends!!!

Till next time, Happy sewing!

All these turkeys are so cute.
Love the turkeys made with the leaf fabric (almost looks like they are hiding in a bush)

I am in awe of how well everyone sews the feet! I have trouble with those pointy toes so anyone that does a good job on feet is my hero/heroine! Great job to all the testers so far….you rock!

Ooh, I didn’t see any combs on the Turkey pics I found on google??? I did see a funny thing called a ‘snood’…. but it looked so silly dangling on the top of the beak and off to ONE SIDE???? I decided not to include it! LOL
