Over the years as a soft toy designer I seem to have developed a certain style… I guess you could say “cute, simple,  baby-ish stuffed animals” are what I create.

My Reggie Reindeer Sewing Pattern was one of my earlier designs and  I made him as a button-jointed toy, like a traditional teddy bear. Although I have a tutorial on how to do button jointing, this is still not as simple as a toy without button-joints.  I know some people don’t like making button-jointed toys because of this.

So this weekend I have been working on a photo tutorial for how to sew my Reggie Reindeer WITHOUT the button joints!

I got side-tracked!

I am always interested to see how other designers interpret the toys they make. I find it fascinating to see how a bunch of soft toy designers can design the same toy/animal/doll pattern, yet they all turn out so differently! I was amazed at how many other reindeer patterns there are… look how many different ones I found!!!
