March MAKER OF THE MONTH – wins a FREE Funky Friends Factory Pattern!

Apr 16, 2021 | Blog, Competitions & Giveaways

March’s Maker of the Month finalists include a multitude of unique memory toys, as well as some cheerful makes celebrating the onset of spring in the Northern hemisphere. Check out these pics posted by the members of the Funky Friends Factory Pattern Fan Club!

First up, here’s a fabulously unique Funky Friend: Kathy Vorse Dickinson sewed an Alice Alpaca made from a table runner given to her family by a visiting foreign exchange student.

This keepsake Butch Bulldog sewn by Vanessa Heaviside is simply stunning. The unique fabric combo created a sophisticated pup.

We see lots of Slowpoke Sloths hanging out in people’s yards in photos, but this baby clothes keepsake by Niesje Wiersma Maccini found a convenient spot in the kitchen! I hope he enjoys the warm climate.

And who can resist a baby clothes keepsake paired with the baby herself, especially when both are this cute?! Kelly Anderson used Calico Bear to sew a memory bear to commemorate her daughter’s clothes, and I love how bear and baby are about the same size.

EllenThayer is a seamstress extraordinaire (and a super grandma) for whipping up toys that match the clothes she makes for her granddaughters. Here’s a SparklesSeahorse dress set and LuckyLabrador skirt combo.

Katrina Penrod Heath sewed the Gertrude Guinea Pig pattern from sunshiny, yellow, cotton fabrics and added a highlight of white rose Cuddle – I love the texture combination!

Following a theme of texture combos – Emma Thomas-McGinnis made an Easter Keep Me Keepsake Bear from a man’s shirt and some extra cuddly blue fabric.

Randy Rhino loves munching spring flowers, and I think they suit him, don’t you? Rebecca Karstad used a beautiful Rifle Paper Company print for this toy.
