Last month our Funky Friends Factory Patterns Fan Club on Facebook topped 5,000 members, so I decided to celebrate by giving away a $50 gift voucher to one of our Funky fans. You still have time to enter – CLICK HERE for the competition details and how to enter. Deadline is July 7, 2022.
I asked our group members to submit a pic of a Funky Friend featuring the maker, a gift recipient, or a pet. So we’ve got fun pics of adults, kids, dogs and cats!
First, Let’s Meet Some Makers…
First up we have Monique Methót who sews LOTS colorful versions of William Whale in fun fabrics. Here she is holding the first William Whale.
I love this photo of Monika Groh and her Gertrude Guinea Pig. Monika made a slightly smaller sister for Gertrude and gave her a fabulous name: Irmgard.
You may recognize Alice Berntson’s Patch Pussycat from our Father’s Day tie project post. Alice named her tie toy “Tie-ger” and I think that’s so cute!
It’s great to see Kathryn Harvey’s smiling face in this pic of her holding her Poppy Puppy.
Gail McKnight Anderson of Gail’s Little Sewing Room makes tons of Funky Friends. Here’s Gail with a recent school keepsake version of Melody Memory Bear.
Let’s Meet Some Pets and Their Pals…
Tiny dog Anabelle has posed in several posts in the Fan Club, and I think this collaboration with her Lucky Labrador toy is one of her best! Toy sewn by Monika Groh.
I know that kids love super-sized Funky Friends – I didn’t think CATS would too! Mary Julian Johnson posted this 200% version of Ellie Elephant with a feline friend.

Honey Teddy is providing snuggles to Cathy Moss’ cat in this sweet photo.
Andrea Peters included this caption with her pet photo: “Macy [the dog] approves of Melody Bear.” Macy, I’m sure Melody Memory Bear approves of you, too!
Once upon a time, there was a dog named Lola who lived by the beach. Lola loved seagulls. Sadly, Lola and her feathered friends were destined to live apart. One day, Lola’s human mom made her a Funky Friends Factory Sandy Seagull of her very own. Lola was so happy…and so were the real seagulls! Everyone lived happily ever after. Toy sewn by Mary Elizabeth.
Here’s another possessive pup who loves a cuddle. Kathi Siebern Hummell reports that Jynx the dog loves her Unix Unicorn.
Here are some smiling kiddos!
Melody Memory Bear is popular with all ages. This baby looks shocked to meet Melody, but I’m sure they became good friends. Gail McKnight Anderson sewed this Melody and the toy in the next photo, too!
This little girl loves her new keepsake version of Melody Memory Bear. What a darling photo!
Judy Harding’s version of Igor Iguana and Puppy Pete brought out the smiles in these two kids!
AND…. don’t forget Puppy Pete!
Caroline Moyer made a Ben the Beginner Bear for this little boy. Looks like he loves Ben!
Wendy Moose sewed a cheerful pair of yellow Easter Bunny Buddies for these two cuties!
Nate the Narwhal looks perfectly cozy sewn in purple Cuddle™️ fabric by Kelsey Sterkel.
Kara Dover made a Digger Dachshund for these kids to help with the loss of a family pet.
Ready for a Really F-U-N-K-Y “family photo”?
These kids and their Funky Friends take up a whole sofa! This massive menagerie was sewn by Courtney Schreiner of Monkey in the Mailbox.
