Easter 2022 SEWING COMPETITION winner announced!

Apr 18, 2022 | Blog, Competitions & Giveaways

The second annual Funky Friends Factory EASTER SEWING COMPETITION was a massive hit! We had more Easter theme toys posted than Christmas theme toys, and they were adorable. I was really glad the competition was a DRAW and I didn’t have to choose a winner myself!

Check out some of the
GORGEOUS entries,
and the winner is announced
below, too…

Easter Bunny Sewing Pattern

The Easter Bunny Buddies pattern was the most popular contest entry pattern. First up – Shirley Lohman sewed this BEAUTIFUL version of the Easter Bunny Pattern and posed him in the garden hunting for Easter eggs!

Janet Roberta Murphy used a fluffy polka dot fabric for this Personalized version of the Easter Bunny Buddies  – soooooooo cute!!!!

Don’t you love an Easter basket? Barbara Matul sewed this Easter Bunny Buddy using dimple minky (ears) and cotton (body) for her granddaughter’s first Easter.

I’m sure this coordinating pair of Easter Bunny Buddies sewn by D’Jauna Connor made some kids smile on Easter morning.

Courtney Schreiner of Monkey in the Mailbox says she found a small scrap of rainbow print minky and sized down the Easter Bunny Pattern to 80 percent so it fit perfectly on the tummy! Isn’t it adorable?

Baby Bunny Sewing Pattern

Funky Friends fans are always so generous, and Shelley Noisette is a great example. She sewed these 17 Baby Bunnies for the kindergarten Sunday School class at her church!

I love how
each one is different!

Linda McNally Siedlecki says that sewing Funky Friends is her de-stress solution! I think that this purple Baby Bunny would reduce holiday stress for anyone 💗.

Tina Lucera picked a pastel rainbow fabric for her Baby Bunnies and it reminds me of sorbet or sherbet ice cream!! Don’t they look cute all posed together?

Kawaii Bunny Sewing Pattern

The easiest bunny pattern in the Funky Friends collection is the Kawaii Kuties Bunny Pattern. Here’s a fun trio in bright colors. I can’t find the name of the maker of these toys, so if these are your bunnies, please contact our Facebook group admin to claim them!

Easter Chick Sewing Pattern

How fun are these fabulous fluffy versions of Egghead the Easter Chick sewn by Laila Pye! I like how faux fur can simulate chick fluff and lamb fuzz equally well in a soft toy! 🐣

Lamb Sewing Pattern

Darvi Mayo used a sherpa-style fabric for her version of  Lamkins Lamb.

Duck Sewing Pattern

This year was definitely the “year of the duck” in the Easter Competition. Dilby Duckling was popping up almost daily in our Facebook group. Rachelle Ingram sewed this lemony duck from Shannon Fabrics Luxe and C3 Cuddle. If you’re looking for the perfect duck bill orange, this shade is called “pumpkin.”

Bright cottons in contrasting prints make these Dilby Ducklings by Gail McKnight Anderson cute centerpieces for any Easter basket.

This is one of my favorite ducklings ever! Rindy Hargraves made this “grumpy little duckling” – isn’t he adoarable?

Julie Coward made a whole quartet of Easter friends. From left to right are Egghead Easter Chick, Lamkins Lamb, Dilby Duck, and Easter Bunny Buddy.

Easter Memory Bear

You don’t have to use an Easter theme pattern to make a great Easter gift! Jonell Hart turned Melody Memory Bear into a beautiful Easter gift for her granddaughter.
