Dec 13, 2023 | Blog, Customer Feedback

Are you finished with your Christmas sewing yet? If you need some inspiration, this week’s round-up of holiday toys is just for YOU! We’ve got a whole lotta Elves, snazzy Santas, resplendent Reindeer, superlative Snowmen & gregarious gingerbread men, sparkling Sugar Plum Fairies, and maybe a Buttons Bear dressed in his Christmas finest🎅

Let’s start with
the Christmas sewing patterns…

Our first Christmas Funky Friend is…

This sweet Slush Snowman sewn by Judy Harding.

Next up we have Reindeers!

This really festive Reggie Reindeer was sewn by Kina Bonilla Chapp – don’t you LOVE his furry slippers! 😍

This twin-set of Reggie Reindeers was sewn by Holly Boatright in traditional Christmas colours. She has added a fun bow tie sewn from Christmas fabric.

And this terrific turquoise version of Reggie Reindeer was sewn in a fun festive aqua Christmas print by Steve Palmer.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa!

This fluffy version of the Santa Sewing pattern was sewn by Cheri Moeller Truesdale – isn’t his curly beard AWESOME?!?!?

Spot the next Santa!!!

This awesome collection of homemade Christmas Toys was sewn by Cassandra Helzer... there’s a jolly gorgeous Santa Claus hidden in the bunch ~>  you can also see at least 8 Sugar Plum Fairies, a happy Slush Snowman & Ginger Gingerbread man, Edward & Edwina Elf and a very cute Reggie Reindeer on the right!

And, one more cute Santa Claus!

This fun, FLUFFY version of the Santa Sewing pattern was sewn by Joy Davies.

TIP: Long-pile fur is hard to work with as there is a LOT of mess…. and you need to ‘tuck the fur out of the way’ as you sew BUT it LOOKS AMAZING…. see how sweet he look even from the back!

It’s Elf on the shelf time of year again!

This Christmas Elf sewn by Sandie Blakes looks like he has a very important job! He’s guarding the stash of Christmas drinks! 😄

LOOKS like Sandy couldn’t stop herself…. she went on to sew a dozen of Edward Elf helpers for Santa!!!!!!

This little blonde version of Edwina Elf was sewn by Michelle Woodcock in non-traditional Christmas colours!

Lesley Newall used felt circles for the eyes to make her holiday helper  – to make her Christmas Elf TOTALLY baby-safe!

Joy Davies has sewn the Christmas Elves with a ‘summery look’ by using plain skin tone fabric for the arms. (I think this is what Australian elves would look like because it’s too HOT here to work in long-sleeves!!!🤣)

This next sweet pair of Christmas Elves was sewn by Tania Walkom… LOOK how cute the legs look using gingham checks!

Looking for free printable tags?

I have a little bonus for you… it is Christmas after all!

Sometimes it can be a challenge to wrap a toy, so I’ve made some printable gift tags that you can tie on an ear or antler. In addition to the regular “Handmade with Love” tags, I added some that say “Happy Handmade Christmas.”

Just go HERE to print them out. ~>
