OK, where’s my fabric gone???
Well, it’s not just my fabric, it’s everything in my sewing room AND our house… and NOW you’ve probably guessed… we are moving house! 🙂 We didn’t think our place would sell so quickly and so it’s been a mad rush ‘shoving’ everything, that we have accumulated over the last 15 years in this house, into a shipping container for the BIG move. I won’t reveal where we are headed as that will be a blog post in itself, but for now let me just say, it involves moving across the sea!!!!! 😀
I feel bad that I don’t get to show you lots of gorgeous fabrics scraps but don’t worry….you haven’t visited my blog in vain –

When I’m sewing, the kids often will ask if they can “help” me. I send them to choose some scraps to make a drawstring bag for their treasure. They get to make something and my creation remains safe. Keeps everyone happy!

Hi Pauline, I just found the Creative Spaces Blog series and am enjoying reading them. Wishing you all the very best with your move.
I like to keep my small scraps for the kid’s to do craft activities with. I donated a bag full to my daughter’s preschool and the kids all had fun gluing them onto things! I also donate larger pieces to a charity op-shop which stocks only craft and sewing supplies. All proceeds go towards assisted living programs for people with disabilities so it’s a win win for the fabric…i get to enjoy it and then someone else can buy it to help another!!
