Organic Fabric and Pattern Giveaway!

Feb 1, 2013 | A day in my life, Blog, Competitions & Giveaways, FFF News

I have been having SUCH FUN making some baby toys from organic interlock fabric!

When I received the fabric from Organic Cotton Plus, and I really wasn’t sure how my Funky Friends would turn out as I haven’t used cotton interlock before! I used a ball-point needle and an all-purpose polyester machine thread (as it is a jersey/knit type fabric) and I found that the cotton interlock was actually

really easy to sew with!!!

I am so excited by how cute my toys turned out! This is my Dilby Duck toy sewing pattern made up in Banana yellow and Butterscotch eco-dyed organic cotton Interlock.

organic cotton fabric baby toyAnd this my Plattie Platypus toy sewing pattern made up in Baby Blue and Banana.

I just LOVE their fabric names!

organic fabricsAnd look how cute Petunia Pig looks in Pink and Plum!

Oooh it’s so hard to choose. Dilby is outrageously cute. Plattie reminds me of home, and Petunia is simply awesome just because she is a pig, what’s not to like. Dilby, no Plattie…maybe Petunia. Blast I can’t decide. Eeenie meenie minie….Dilby!

I love Plattie Platypus. Of course, all of your patterns are so cute – the quality of your designs is top notch. When I look at your patterns, I want to make them all. I had never make any softies, plushies, etc., before, just started recently. I found a free pattern on Pinterest and make a little patchwork looking bear for a friend who has a small child. I went to visit her the other day at her workplace, taking the bear. She almost cried. She was very down in the dumps, because they had just lost one of their dog (went to doggy heaven) and she said that this was just the boost she needed. She called the next day, said that her little guy loved him, carried him everywhere that evening, & went to bed with the bear in his arms. Wow, what a wonderful feeling I had, filled my heart with joy. Now I want to make & give away more. Spread the joy!

My overwhelming favourite would have to be Dilby Duck! I would love to see him in a pink and banana or baby blue and banana. He would make a fantastic gift for a new baby!

I have to pick Petunia! I love the name and she is made up of my favorite color. She just looks so cuddly and ready to snuggle up with on those days when no one else is around to hug.

I have to choose Dilby Duck ‘cos he is even cuter than my REAL ducklings, also I am sure he eats less than they do. Banana Yellow would be just right

It is very hard to select between Dilby Duck and Petunia Pig…although Petunia Pig wins this contest. All three creatures were equally lovely and tempting.
