We’ve had so many cute entries this month from pretty birds and wonderful wolves to delightful dogs and marvelous memory bears! Read down to the end of the post to find out who won this month’s maker’s prize.🏆

We had some beautiful Best Wishes BABY BIRDS like this sweet floral fabric version sewn by Sandra Hughes. 🌸 Sandra used aa small floral on the wings and a Swiss dot on the beak and feet to contrast the large main floral. The tiny rose bow at the neck ties it all together.

 

Lesley Newall sewed this cute Best Wishes BABY BIRD. The colorful fabric has stripes that look like feathers to me!

 

And Jan Hofmann sewed these 2 Best Wishes BABY BIRDS.They will be used in a classroom to celebrate student birthdays.

Talking of birds…

This Ollie Owl sewing was sewn by Mandy-Anne Roberts. She made her owl as a keepsake toy from precious clothing items. Who would have thought owls look so good in plaid?

Some FUN four-legged critters next!

Elise Luce sewed this gorgeous Horsey Horse for a student who was undergoing major surgery – see the happy story in the 2nd photo!

 

A good outcome for ALL!

 

This Horsey Horse was sewn by Michelle Robinson from a fabric that has a print that looks like knitting! That’s a fun way to creat the look of a toy made from a hand-knitted sweater (without the extra steps of prepping a knitted garment!) The bulky yarn used for the mane coordinates with the fabric perfectly.

This Mickey Moose was sewn by Diane Painter – it was the first soft toy she’d sewn! I love how Diane mixed the floral main print with the dark hooves and lighter colored antlers.

Some sweet baby keepsakes!

This adorable Baby Bunny was sewn by Aleisha Bain of The Onesie Bear NZ, out of baby clothes. The little lace ribbon at the neck adds an extra cute touch to this perfectly pink bunny.

Aleisha also sewed Kip the Keepsake, and you can see the size difference here between Baby Bunny, who was designed as a baby toy, and Kip  the Keepsake Dog , who was designed with large pieces to accommodate clothing designs.

Wonderful wolf soft toys!

This amazing Winsome Wolf sewn by Jenn Bilodeau out of minky fabric looks almost REAL! He is resting happily among the dandelion flowers.

This Keep Me Keepsake Bear pattern was sewn by Gail Mcknight Anderson. Gail incorporated several different sports uniforms into this one bear, and added in some knit-wear on the head, too. Quite a project!

 

This Keep Me Keepsake Bear pattern was sewn by Linda Belchamber-Venton. I love the hand-sewn aplliqués on the feet…they add such a personal touch.

The Kelsey Keepsake Unicorn  sewn by Mary Stenger for her 5 year old great-neice. This pastel cutie would delight any little girl, so I’m sure the gift will be a success.

This Kip the Keepsake Dog was sewn by Amber Lea as a birthday gift. Amber turned the pattern into an autograph toy by including colored markers. Definitely a memorable gift!

 

 

This Kip the Keepsake Dog sewn by Kim Farrugia as a gift for a lucky little girl turning 2 years old. This was Kim’s first attempt at the pattern and she did such a great job utilizing the large pattern spaces for machine embroidery.

And this extra fluffy Kip Keepsake Dog was sewn by Alana Hudson of Alana Rose Sews. She used doggy blankets to create a precious pet memorial keepsake for a much loved pet.
