Hey hey – it’s Friday and time for another FRIDAY FRENZY fabric Giveaway!

This week I am designing a cute dachshund sewing pattern so I am have a dachshund pattern and fabric giveaway.

I always learn something new when I am researching a new toy pattern. Dachshund’s short legs and long bodies make them unique in the dog world BUT the most amazing things I fiscovered was that there are at least 16 different names for dachshunds!!!

– Dachsie, Daxie, Doxie, Weiner dog, Sausage Dog, Hot dog, Worshond, Teckel, Dackel, Bassotto, Sosis, Perro Salchicha, Taksis, Jamnik, Train kukka and last but not least… Badger Dog? (a literal translation)!

we call them Yappy Weiner Dogs

I’ve always called them Oscar Mayer dogs or brats! For (bratwurst)

Sausage dogs, dashounds (my pronunciation) or Alex’s mums dog .. can’t wait to get the pattern to make a dog for Alex

I call them sausage dogs . My daugther has a sausage dog called Basil. He is one cute, mischievious puppy.

Official name overhere is Teckel, but often we call them sausagedogs or sausage on legs. Awesome you’re designing a pattern of them!
