I was recently approached by a Funky Friends Factory Member to create a Custom Designed Toy for their Eco Friendly Business. Tanya from Ankle Biters was so pleased with the baby panda toy, that they adopted it as their business mascot!

I asked her to send me some pictures of the “look” that she wanted for her panda and Tanya sent me some of the photos she had of the baby pandas that were orphaned after the Sichuan Earthquake last year.

Tanya wanted, “Something child-like, cartoon-like with BIG appealing eyes, oh and bright pink lips and eye lashes for the girls!” Her plans are to have the panda toys made up entirely from organic bamboo, which will be great for children with allergies as they’ll be free from chemical residues from fabric dyes etc.

Their panda graphics were designed based on the toys I made and I am so excited at how cute they have turned out!
