Selling our house and leaving Brisbane<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, packing up and saying goodbye to family and friends after 15 years was quite stressful… but on top of that we had to drive nearly 4000km (about 2500 miles) to our new house in Tasmania…<\/p>\n

WITH our CAT!!!!<\/strong><\/h1>\n

He did remarkably well while we were driving as I had him wrapped in a baby-sling which seemed to soothe him. He loved the caravan that hubby built… all the new cupboards to investigate. I got to take my sewing machine with me in the caravan because I was designing the next pattern for the Sew Many Funky Friends Club! <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kitty got to sleep WITH us for 9 nights, something he’s never been allowed to do! He was just getting used to things on our road-trip when we hit Melbourne and boarded the huge Spirit of Tasmania Ferry<\/strong> to take us across the ocean to our new island state. The Bass Strait<\/strong> between mainland Australia and Tasmania is known to be one of the most treacherous stretches of ocean and we thought we’d hit a particularly rough night to cross when we woke up in the night literally lifting horizontally off the beds! Lucky the sea-sickness tablets worked for us BUT poor kitty has sworn he’ll never sail the seas again \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

And then, finally we were there and YES – Tasmania is as cold as they say!!!! BUT I think it was a sign of good things to come because the day we arrived we had…<\/p>\n
