This makes the toys more durable because the toy can withstand the pressure of lots of \u2018love and squashing\u2019!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Let&#8217;s face it &#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">a cute soft toy<br \/>\nis gonna get <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">a LOT of cuddles!<\/span><\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-17496 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Gecko-animal-heatpack-sewing-pattern-download.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Gecko-animal-heatpack-sewing-pattern-download.jpg 520w, https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Gecko-animal-heatpack-sewing-pattern-download-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 520px, 100vw\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #800080;\"><b>What needle and thread to use for machine sewing toys?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I use a <\/span><b>Universal needle <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for most toy-making projects. A <\/span><b>Ball point needle is better for knit fabrics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> like fleece, and a <\/span><b>\u2018Jeans\u2019 needle<\/b> <b>is better for very thick\/heavy fabric<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, like denim. (Don\u2019t worry if you don&#8217;t have the other needles, a universal needle will be alright!)\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I use &#8216;normal&#8217; polycotton sewing machine thread for sewing toys.
