I used a cute geometric fabric called <strong>Jax<\/strong> designed by <strong>Erin McMorris<\/strong> which is grey BUT totally funky!!! Make sure you are pining the Velcro to opposite <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECES<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; a &#8216;right&#8217; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECE<\/strong><\/span> and a &#8216;left&#8217; (reversed) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECE<\/strong><\/span>. Position the Velcro so that it covers the seam between the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECE<\/strong><\/span> and the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>CLAW PIECE<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23873\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Sloth-and-Pics-for-toy-club-001.jpg\" alt=\"Sloth-and-Pics-for-toy-club-001\" width=\"500\" height=\"210\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 2px 10px; margin: 30px 40px; border: 3px solid #97ba5f; color: #000000;\"><p><strong>TIP:<\/strong> Check that the 2 pieces of Velcro will stick together and you haven&#8217;t muddled up the &#8216;hook&#8217; and &#8216;eye&#8217; Velcro pieces. It is a very easy mistake to make and this would be a pain to unpick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 3b<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Sew the Velcro pieces in place with a zig-zag stitch so they are firmly secured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23878\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Sloth-velcro-001.jpg\" alt=\"Sloth-velcro-001\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 0px 10px; margin: 30px 10px; border: solid 2px #b41e8e; color: #000000; text-align: left;\">\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 4<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Pin the other 2 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECES<\/strong><\/span> (with no Velcro) on top of the first 2 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARM PIECES<\/strong><\/span> and sew the pairs of ARMS together with the Velcro sandwiched between them. Clip the curved seams very well and finger-press them so they lie smooth and flat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23892\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Sloth-and-Pics-for-toy-club-043.jpg\" alt=\"Sloth-and-Pics-for-toy-club-043\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 2px 10px; margin: 30px 40px; border: 3px solid #97ba5f; color: #000000;\"><p><strong>TIP:<\/strong> Use lots of pins to help ease these 2 opposite curved pieces together. This is an hard seam to sew and you may get a few wrinkles like I did (see the red arrow in the photo below). It&#8217;s ok, do your best!
