ANSWER:<\/strong> Easy! Make sure you do these 2 things when you print a PDF:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. First, save the file to your device<\/span>.<\/strong> Don’t immediately hit \u201cprint\u201d on the browser window. (Why not? This will cut off the bottom of each page.) Instead, download the PDF pattern and\u00a0 save the file to your device. Then open the PDF in a PDF viewer and you can hit \u201cprint\u201d properly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ndon’t print from the internet browser window!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Second, make sure you print at 100%.<\/span><\/b> Don’t use a setting called \u201cfit to page.\u201d WHY? Because this will resize the pieces to different sizes on each page (meaning pieces don’t fit).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udda8\ufe0f Question 2: Why isn’t there a one inch test square on the pattern page?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

ANSWER:<\/strong> You don’t need to worry about a 1 inch square with Funky Friends Factory patterns.\u00a0<\/span>WHY? Because they are FULL-SIZE patterns (ready to print at 100%). So there is no need to resize them to “get them to print the correct size” – they are already the correct size! \ud83d\ude01 Just make sure to print at 100% and you will have the right size!\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udda8\ufe0f QUESTION 3. What size of paper do I need to use?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

ANSWER:<\/strong> Use the standard printer paper size for your country (ie, the paper in the main tray for your printer). The PDF software will recognize the paper size and print the pattern correctly as long as you print at 100%. WHY? Because the Funky Friends Factory pattern pieces have been carefully laid out to fit\u00a0 within the printable area of BOTH the USA letter size AND international A4 page.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udda8\ufe0f QUESTION 4. My pattern is cut off on the bottom of each page. What is going wrong?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

ANSWER:<\/strong> From my experience, this happens when people have tried to print the PDF patterns straight from the internet browser window instead of saving the pattern file to their device. To fix this, save the file to your device, then open it and print at 100%. Too EASY!<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udda8\ufe0f QUESTION 5. What should I do if the options above don’t work?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

ANSWER:<\/strong> There is a LAST RESORT TACTIC! If the PDF Pattern still doesn\u2019t print correctly there is a last resort \u2013 you can use your printer\u2019s ADVANCED\u00a0 settings. <\/span>Open the print settings window and click on \u201cAdvanced\u201d (See the blue arrow in the screenshot below).<\/span><\/p>\n

Then check the box for the \u201cPrint as image<\/strong>\u201d option (See the green arrow in the next photo).\u00a0ALSO check that you are still printing at 100% \u2013 this will print the page\u00a0without resizing\u00a0it.<\/span><\/p>\n
