(Try and match your thread to the hair colour!) I use a wooden chopstick to make sure the seams are turned out nicely. The front seam of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>LEGS<\/strong><\/span> at C must be touching the <strong><u>FRONT PIECE<\/u><\/strong> at C. Cut out a <u>WING PIECE<\/u> from iron-on batting and iron it to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the wrong side of the fabric<\/span> of one of the rectangle pieces. Using the pattern markings as a guide, draw the top-stitch lines onto the WING. Sew the top stitch lines using a slightly longer-than-normal stitch length.
