In this tutorial I am making Plattie from pink fleece and purple, flowery corduroy. Following the layout guide, place your templates onto the wrong side of the fabric and trace the templates with a fabric\/permanent marker and <strong>cut out your pieces on the TRACED line.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24891\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/02\/plattie-pattern-fabric-layout.jpg\" alt=\"fabric layout\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* Cut the <strong>BODY <\/strong><strong>PIECES <\/strong>from your<strong> Main fabric <\/strong>and cut the<strong> BILL <\/strong>and<strong> FEET PIECES<\/strong> from<strong> a contrasting fabric.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 0px 10px; margin: 30px 10px; border: solid 2px #b41e8e; color: #000000; text-align: left;\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #4a7d0c;\">Step 2: <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sew two <strong>FEET PIECES<\/strong> together and turn right sides out. I like to use a wooden chopstick to turn the feet out nicely! Sew ALL the way around BUT remember to leave a gap for turning, as shown on the pattern pieces. (In the photo below &#8211; I have drawn a red line to show you where I left the gap.). For woven (NON-stretch) fabrics like cottons you may need to stuff the body more firmly to hold it\u2019s shape nicely.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 2px 10px; margin: 30px 40px; border: 3px dotted #4A7D0C; color: #4a7d0c;\"><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>When I sew Plattie from fleece I like to turn him into <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em><strong>a beanbag toy<\/strong><\/em>! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Cut a small hole in the <strong>TUMMY PIECE<\/strong> and place some plastic pellets in the body cavity to give it a bean bag feel.
